RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE HEALTH SYSTEM REDESIGN INITIATIVE IMPLEMENTATION FINAL REPORT FOR THE PERIOD OF APRIL 2009 THROUGH MARCH 2010

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, on February 5, 2008, the County accepted a final report prepared by Health Management Associates (HMA) titled, “Assessment of Strategic Priorities for San Mateo Health Services”; and

 

WHEREAS, on May 20, 2008, the Board of Supervisors accepted the Final Planning Phase Recommendations of the Blue Ribbon Task Force (BRTF) on Adult Health Care Coverage Expansion; and

 

WHEREAS, a Health System Redesign Initiative team with membership from the County Manager’s Office, the Health System, and the Health Plan of San Mateo selected areas of priority on which to focus and developed a Redesign implementation plan outlining targeted goals and activities that was accepted by the Board of Supervisors on March 25, 2008; and

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an update on activities completed during the period April 2009 through March 2010, of implementation of the Health System Redesign Initiative; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has considered the proposed Health System Redesign Initiative Implementation final report and desires to accept it.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors accepts the Health System Redesign Initiative Implementation Final Report for the period of April 2009 through March 2010.
