BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION 1.) AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH ROGER WAY AND ASSOCIATES FOR GRANT WRITING SERVICES FOR THE TERM JULY 1, 2010 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2013, NOT TO EXCEED $400,000; AND 2.) AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF HEALTH SYSTEM OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY'S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the Health System competes for private, state, and federal grants to fund one-time only and ongoing program innovations including bricks-and-mortar, project evaluation and project technical assistance; and

 

WHEREAS, in September, 2009 Health Policy and Planning released a Request for Qualifications for all qualified contractors to provide grant writing services. Of the eight proposals received, Roger Way was one of five contractors selected to provide the entire Health System grant writing services; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of the Agreement and has examined and approved it both as to form and content and desires to enter into the Agreement.

 
 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement with Roger Way and Associates for and on the behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest to the President’s signature thereto.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief of Health System or her designee is hereby authorized to execute contract amendments which modify the County's maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
