RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH ASPIRANET FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF A CHANGE OF PLACEMENT PROGRAM FOR DEPENDENT CHILDREN AT THE COUNTY’S TOWER HOUSE RECEIVING HOME, EXTENDING THE TERM BY ONE YEAR ,JUNE 30, 2011, INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $273,182 TO $819,546, THERE IS NO NET COUNTY COST

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County and Aspiranet entered into an Agreement by Resolution Number 069501 on June 17, 2008 in the amount of $546,364 and the term of July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2010 for the purpose of providing a Change of Placement Program for dependent children at the County’s Tower House Receiving Home; and

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the County to continue to contract with Aspiranet to operate the Change of Placement Program at the Tower House Receiving Home for FY 2010-11 while it is determined if the program will continue or be modified; and

WHEREAS, this Amendment extends the term by one year for a new term of July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2011 and increases the amount by $273,182 for a total obligation of $819,546; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Amendment to the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
