Appoint Pat Bell to the Housing and Community Development Committee, representing At-Large, term expiring 12/31/2014

BACKGROUND:
|
The Housing and Community Development Committee makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors, through the Director of the Department of Housing, related to the expenditure of all housing and community development funds and it provides a forum for public comment on affordable housing plans and community development needs.
|
|
|
DISCUSSION:
|
Pat Bell is a resident of San Carlos. She is a full-time caretaker for her severely brain-injured daughter and a long-time advocate for low-income people with disabilities. Her community service experience includes two years on the City of San Carlos General Plan Advisory Committee, service on a citizens task force charged with revising San Carlos’s below market-rate housing ordinance, and ten years on the County’s In-Home Support Services Advisory Committee. She seeks appointment to a vacant At-Large seat.
