RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH SAN MATEO COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT (SMCCCD) FOR THE PURPOSE OF ADMINISTERING INDEPENDENT LIVING PROGRAM (ILP) TO FOSTER YOUTH, THE TERM REMAINS THE SAME, JULY 1, 2009 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2012, DECREASING THE AGREEMENT AMOUNT BY $109,500 TO $340,500 AND DECREASING NET COUNTY COST BY $32,850 FOR A NEW NET COUNTY COST OF $102,150

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County and SMCCCD entered into an Agreement by Resolution Number 070211 on June 16, 2009 in the amount of $450,000 for the term of July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2012 for the purpose of administering Independent Living Program (ILP) to foster youth; and

WHEREAS, this Amendment to the Agreement reduces the Agreement amount by $109,500 for a new total obligation of $340,500 and the term remains the same, July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2012 ; and

WHEREAS, this Amendment is necessary as part of the Human Services Agency’s overall budget-savings plan, due to a reduction in the allocation of ILP funding from the state; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Amendment to the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
