BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION 1) APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR, AND ACCEPTANCE OF, A CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF BOATING AND WATERWAYS CLEAN VESSEL ACT GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,000 FOR THE COYOTE POINT MARINA PUMPOUT STATION PROJECT; 2) AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE IN THE NAME OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO ALL NECESSARY APPLICATIONS, CONTRACTS, AGREEMENTS, AMENDMENTS AND PAYMENT REQUESTS HERETO TO IMPLEMENT THE PURPOSES SPECIFIED IN THE GRANT APPLICATION AND AGREEING TO MAKING THE NECESSARY GRANT ASSURANCES

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo is desirous of replacing a boat pumpout station at Coyote Point Marina to meet the needs of the boaters and to provide public access to these facilities; and

WHEREAS, the California Department of Boating and Waterways is authorized to provide grants to cities, counties, districts, and other public agencies for the construction and development of boat pumpout station facilities; and

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo is willing to enter into an agreement to provide for the operation and maintenance of the proposed facilities at no cost to the State; and

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors by adoption of this Resolution, hereby:

1)

Approves the application for, and acceptance of, a Department of Boating and Waterways grant in the amount of $10,000 to replace a public use boat pumpout station at Coyote Point Marina; and

2)

Authorizes the Director of the Department of Parks, or his designee, to sign any contracts, agreements, amendments and payment requests hereto to implement the purposes specified in the grant application to complete the project and agrees to make the necessary grant assurances.
