RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING | ||||
Adrienne Zanini | ||||

WHEREAS, Adrienne Zanini is receiving the San Mateo County Central Labor Council’s 2010 Committee on Political Education (C.O.P.E.) Unity Award; and | ||||
WHEREAS, after graduating from college, Adrienne Zanini was first hired as a teacher for the hard of hearing and deaf, and soon moved into working with students with learning disabilities; and | ||||
WHEREAS, during her teaching career, Ms. Zanini has taught at all grade levels, K-8; and | ||||
WHEREAS, as well as being an inspiring teacher, Adrienne Zanini has been involved with the American Federation of teachers since 1976. During her tenure as a member of the American Federation of Teachers Local 3267, Adrienne has served as a building representative, member of the Executive Board, a member of the Negotiating Team, and finally, President; and WHEREAS, Ms. Zanini was elected Vice-President of the K-12 arm of the California Federation of Teachers, and has also served as a member of the Executive Board of the San Mateo Central Labor Council; and | ||||
WHEREAS, Adrienne Zanini’s commitment to education and the labor movement is commendable, and though she may be retiring from teaching school this year, her lessons will continue to educate and inspire. | ||||
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County does hereby congratulate Adrienne Zanini on her receiving San Mateo County Central Labor Council’s 2010 C.O.P.E. Unity Award, and extends its best wishes to her in the coming years. | ||||
