Reappointments to the Commission on Disabilities

RECOMMENDATION:

Reappoint Fel Amistad, James Engvall, Diane Smith, Patricia Dixon, Allan Newlands, Elizabeth Furber and Alexa Johanson to the Commission on Disabilities with terms expiring on June 30, 2013.

BACKGROUND:

The mission of the Commission on Disabilities is to ensure full community participation of people with disabilities in San Mateo County. Commissioners serve three-year terms for a maximum of twelve years.

DISCUSSION:

Fel Amistad has served on the Commission on Disabilities since 6/15/07 and wishes to serve a second term.

James Engvall has served since 5/6/03 and wishes to serve a third term.

Diane Smith has served since 5/17/05 and wishes to serve a third term.

Patricia Dixon has served since 2/28/06 and wishes to serve a third term.

Allan Newlands has served since 6/19/01 and wishes to serve a fourth term.

Elizabeth Furber has served since 6/19/01 and wishes to serve a fourth term.

Alexa Johanson has served since 6/15/07 and wishes to serve a second term.
