______________________________________________________________

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) has provided management services for the oversight of Welfare Client Data Systems (WCDS), a consortium of 18 counties since July 1, 1999, when the system was first introduced, and during that period of time, the WCDS Consortium considered it beneficial to utilize the services of an independent Welfare Case Data System Manager due to the complexity of meeting the business needs of eighteen counties; and

WHEREAS, Tulare County has agreed to fund strategic initiatives to access an Interactive Voice Response (IVR) System which benefits CalWIN (California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids Information Network), a web-based system that will allow the community to apply for benefits from anywhere they have internet connectivity and will also be fully-integrated with CalWIN and Tulare County has asked other Consortium Counties to help in funding this expense; and

WHEREAS, the Human Services Agency wishes to amend the Agreement by increasing the amount by $25,000 for a total obligation of $108,190, the term remaining July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010 for the purpose of reducing the expense to Tulare; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Amendment to the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

A) The President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto; and
