RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY’S ACCEPTANCE OF DONATIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $389,068.50 AND IN-KIND GIFTS IN THE AMOUNT OF

$14,000 FOR FY 2009-10 FROM THE SAN MATEO COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION FOUNDATION

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Parks and Recreation Foundation has raised $389,068.50 in donations in FY 2009-10 to be used for the Parks Volunteer Program, the County’s Department of Public Works “Request for Bids” documents for the Bill and Jean Lane Education Center at Edgewood Park and Natural Preserve, improvements at the Coyote Point Recreation Area, trail maintenance at Wunderlich Park, monitoring fees and restoration at Edgewood Park and Natural Preserve, Bicycle Sunday, Green Force, and Mirada Surf Improvements; and

WHEREAS, the Foundation has made in-kind gifts in the amount of $14,000 in FY 2009-10 with $6,000 for one sign and two sign posts at Mirada Surf and $8,000 in payment to Creekside Center for Earth Observation for restoration work at Edgewood Park and Natural Preserve.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors by adoption of this resolution hereby authorizes the County’s acceptance of donations in the amount of $389,068.50 and in-kind gifts in the amount of $14,000 for FY 2009-10 from the San Mateo County Parks and Recreation Foundation.
