RESOLUTION 1.) AMENDING THE COUNTYWIDE INTEGRATED WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN MULTI-JURISDICTIONAL NON-DISPOSAL FACILITY ELEMENT UPDATE; AND 2.) DIRECTING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO SUBMIT THE COUNTYWIDE INTEGRATED WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN MULTI-JURISDICTIONAL NON-DISPOSAL FACILITY ELEMENT UPDATE TO CALRECYCLE AND THE CITIES IN SAN MATEO COUNTY

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo Board of Supervisors previously approved the 2009 Five-Year Countywide Integrated Waste Management Plan Review Report; and

WHEREAS, the Review Report concluded that the Multi-Jurisdictional Non-Disposal Facility Element was the only element of the Countywide Integrated Waste Management Plan that required updating; and

WHEREAS, CalRecycle has responded in agreement with the findings of the Review Report; and

WHEREAS, the draft Multi-Jurisdictional Non-Disposal Facility Element has been provided to the City and County Association of Governments for comment.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that this Board of Supervisors hereby:

1.

Approves the Countywide Integrated Waste Management Plan Multi-Jurisdictional Non-Disposal Facility Element for the County of San Mateo; and

2.

Directs the Director of Public Works to submit the Countywide Integrated Waste Management Plan Multi-Jurisdictional Non-Disposal Facility Element to CalRecycle and the cities in San Mateo County.
