RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF TWO NEW STOP SIGNS THAT DIRECT TRAFFIC ON FIFTH AVENUE TO STOP AT FAIR OAKS AVENUE, NORTH FAIR OAKS AREA

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, California Vehicle Code Section 21351 allows local authorities in their respective jurisdictions to install traffic signs as may be necessary to control traffic within an intersection; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that two stop signs be installed as noted herein; and

WHEREAS, this Board has reviewed and concurs in the recommendation of the Director of Public Works.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

Stop Signs be installed at the following locations:

Fifth Avenue (County Road No. 23) at Fair Oaks Avenue (County Road No. 1416-B), North Fair Oaks Area

A stop sign on northeast-bound FIFTH AVENUE to direct traffic to stop at the intersection of FAIR OAKS AVENUE.

Fifth Avenue (County Road No. 23) at Fair Oaks Avenue (County Road No. 1416-B), North Fair Oaks Area

A stop sign on southwest-bound FIFTH AVENUE to direct traffic to stop at the intersection of FAIR OAKS AVENUE.

The Department of Public Works is authorized and directed to post any necessary signs and pavement markings.
