RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING

ROBERT W. MERWIN

FOR HIS DEDICATED SUPPORT OF SENIORS IN OUR COMMUNITY

WHEREAS, ROBERT W. MERWIN is Chief Executive Officer for Mills-Peninsula Health Services, a Sutter Health affiliate, and has been with Mills-Peninsula since 1987, first as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, and then as Chief Executive Officer; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Merwin is a Diplomat of the American College of Healthcare Executives; has served on the Board of the Health Plan of San Mateo; is a current member and past Chair of the Hospital Consortium of San Mateo County Board of Directors; is a member of the Hospital Council of Northern and Central California; and is a past member of the San Mateo Rotary Club; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Merwin has supported Mills-Peninsula Senior Focus since its beginnings, and remained committed to this valuable and innovative approach to providing healthcare to seniors in San Mateo County; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Merwin’s concern for seniors and family members is evident as he has personally been involved in creating new programs and enhancing existing programs;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereby honors and commends ROBERT W. MERWIN for his ongoing support and dedication to Mills-Peninsula Senior Focus on the occasion of its 25^th Anniversary and, on behalf of all citizens, the Board expresses sincere appreciation for Mr. Merwin’s numerous contributions.
