RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING

MILLS-PENINSULA SENIOR FOCUS

IN RECOGNITION OF THE 25^TH ANNIVERSARY

WHEREAS, Mills-Peninsula created SENIOR FOCUS in 1985 to help seniors protect their independence, providing education about how to stay healthy, services to assist when challenges appear and a holistic approach to serving the aging population in San Mateo County; and

WHEREAS, SENIOR FOCUS has matured into a trusted resource for families and a highly regarded partner and advisor for local agencies and organizations over the last 25 years; and

WHEREAS, SENIOR FOCUS represents the best current thinking about healthful aging, serving San Mateo County as an educator, service provider and advocate for elders in the community, in the hospital and at home; and

WHEREAS, SENIOR FOCUS has improved the quality of life for countless seniors by reducing isolation, creating a renewed sense of purpose, increasing physical and cognitive strength, addressing medication needs, connecting seniors to community resources, detecting needs earlier and providing support to family members;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereby honors and commends MILLS-PENINSULA SENIOR FOCUS on the occasion of its 25^th ANNIVERSARY and, on behalf of all citizens, expresses sincere appreciation for its numerous achievements and contributions.
