RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE AGREEMENT WITH MOTOROLA, INC. FOR THE DESIGN, BUILD AND INTEGRATION OF A P25/700 MHZ RADIO SYSTEM, INCREASING THE AMOUNT OF THE CONTRACT BY
$720,000, FROM $4,544,906 TO $5,264,906.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on April 27, 2010, the County and Motorola, Inc. entered into an Agreement (Resolution No. 070735) for the design, build and integration of a P25/700 MHz Radio System, for the period commencing April 28, 2010, through April 27, 2013, and for an amount not to exceed $4,544,906; and

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to amend the Agreement by adding an additional build out site to the Phase 1 of the statement of work and increasing the not to exceed amount by $720,000, from $4,544,906 to $5,264,906; and

WHEREAS, the new not to exceed amount includes a $159,497 contingency reserve for the County, with no work to be performed or paid for under the Agreement using such contingency funds without prior written approval by the County of the expanded scope of work;

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Amendment, has examined and approved same as to both form and content, and desires to enter into same.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement with Motorola, Inc., for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
