BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE: A) PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH ASIAN AMERICAN RECOVERY SERVICES, INC., FOR SCHOOL-BASED MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES TO SERIOUSLY EMOTIONALLY DISTURBED STUDENTS AT MIDDLE SCHOOLS IN SAN MATEO COUNTY, AND OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES AUTHORIZED BY THE MENTAL HEALTH PLAN FOR NORTHERN SAN MATEO COUNTY FOR THE TERM OF JULY 1, 2010 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2012, FOR A MXIMUM OBLIGATION OF $587,284; AND B) CHIEF OF THE HEALTH SYSTEM OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY'S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement with Asian American Recovery Services, Inc., for the provision of school-based mental health services to seriously emotionally disturbed students at middle schools in San Mateo County, and outpatient mental health services authorized by the Mental Health Plan in the northern region of the County, for the term of July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2012, for a maximum obligation of $587,284; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors has examined and approved the Agreement as to form and content and desires to enter into same.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief of the Health System or designee be authorized to execute contract amendments which modify the County's maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
