BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH YOUTH AND FAMILY ENRICHMENT SERVICES FOR THE PROVISION OF ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUG SERVICES, DECREASING THE MAXIMUM OBLIGATION TO $5,932,507,WITH NO CHANGE TO THE TERM OF JULY 1, 2009 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2011.

 

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, on July 7, 2009, this Board of Supervisors approved an Agreement

with Youth and Family Enrichment Services for the provision of alcohol and drug

services for the term of July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2011, for a maximum obligation of

$5,971,818; and

 

WHEREAS, on June 8, 2010, this Board of Supervisors approved a first

Amendment to the Agreement to decrease Bay Area Network and services and funding

in the amount of $2,841, for a new maximum obligation $5,968,977; with no change to

the Agreement term; and

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors a Second

Amendment to the Agreement whereby First Chance Sobering services and funding are

being decreased by $11,539, Strategic Directions 2010 services and funding are being

decreased from Alcohol and Other Drug Services by $49,131, and Second Chance Act

Re-Entry Services are being increased by $24,200, to include outpatient and intensive

day treatment, decreasing the maximum obligation to $5,932,507, with no change to the

Agreement term; and

 
 
 

    WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of the Second

Amendment to the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and

content and desires to enter into this Amended Agreement.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Second Amendment for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
