RESOLUTION UPON THE RETIREMENT OF

 

Debbi Jones-Thomas

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

WHEREAS, Debbi Jones-Thomas is retiring after thirty-one years of dedicated service to the City and Citizens of Redwood City; and

   

WHEREAS, Ms. Jones-Thomas, in her role as Redwood City Housing Coordinator, has been a tireless advocate for affordable housing and for programs which serve low income and special needs populations; and

   

WHEREAS, Ms. Jones-Thomas, has been instrumental in the creation of numerous affordable rental and ownership properties over the past thirty years; and

   

WHEREAS, Ms. Jones-Thomas currently serves on the County’s Commission on Disabilities and is a past recipient of the Commission’s Annual People Who Care Charlene Silva Leadership in Government Award; and

 

WHEREAS Ms. Jones-Thomas has actively supported the development of and expansion of services for homeless individuals and families throughout our community and participated in the development of the County’s HOPE Plan to End Homelessness; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County does hereby thank Ms. Jones-Thomas for her contributions to the betterment of our county and congratulates Debbi Jones-Thomas on her well deserved retirement.
