Approve an Appropriation Transfer Request in the Amount of $235,000 to Fully Fund Capital Projects at the Coyote Point Marina

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Approve an Appropriation Transfer Request in the amount of $235,000 within the Coyote Point Marina Enterprise Non General Fund budget from Regular Salaries and Marina Fund Reserves to Fixed Assets Structure and Operating Transfers Out Capital Projects for Dock 29 replacement plans and specifications and dredging project at the Marina.

 

BACKGROUND:

Existing budgeted appropriations at the Coyote Point Marina need to be reallocated to adequately cover known and anticipated costs for Capital Projects.

 

DISCUSSION:

The Coyote Point Marina is currently undertaking several Capital Projects including the plans and specifications for the replacement of Dock 29 and dredging. Budgeted expenses have now been clarified and some funds need to be reallocated to more appropriate expense accounts to pay known and anticipated costs by both the Department of Public Works and outside contractors.

This Appropriation Transfer Request contributes to the Shared Vision 2025 for an Environmentally Conscious Community because Marina improvements provide high quality and safe public access to the San Francisco Bay as well as emergency response, environmental protections, security and assistance for Marina users, outside agencies, visitors and the community.

 
 

FISCAL IMPACT:

This Appropriation Transfer Request reallocates funds that are appropriated in the Coyote Point Marina’s FY 2010-2011 Adopted Budget and has no fiscal impact on Net County Cost.
