RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF TWO STOP SIGNS ON BIRCH STREET AT GEORGE STREET, MONTARA AREA

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, California Vehicle Code Section 21351 et al. allows local authorities in their respective jurisdictions to install traffic signs as may be necessary to control traffic within an intersection; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that two stop signs be installed as noted herein; and

WHEREAS, this Board has reviewed and concurs in the recommendation of the Director of Public Works.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

Stop Signs be installed at the following locations:

Birch Street (County Road No. 1117) at George Street (County Road No. 1111), Montara Area

A stop sign on northeast-bound BIRCH STREET to direct traffic to stop at the intersection of GEORGE STREET.

Birch Street (County Road No. 1117) at George Street (County Road No. 1111), Montara Area

A stop sign on southwest-bound BIRCH STREET to direct traffic to stop at the intersection of GEORGE STREET.

The Department of Public Works is authorized and directed to post any necessary signs and pavement markings.
