THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

WHEREAS, MIMI PAGE-BROUGHTON is a hard-working wife, mother, Probation Officer, community volunteer, and student who applies her life’s hardships, education, and experience to the work she does with delinquent youth and their families; and |
WHEREAS, more than nine years ago, MIMI PAGE-BROUGHTON began working part-time, extra-help as a group supervisor in the Probation Department’s Juvenile Hall; and, after four years was hired full-time and quickly promoted to Deputy Probation Officer; and then, worked as a RPP Officer assigned to Burlingame, San Mateo, and Hillsdale High schools for more than five years; and |
WHEREAS, MIMI PAGE-BROUGHTON is currently assigned to the caseload of youth that receive Family Preservation Program services and/or Wraparound services because they have major family, mental health, or dual diagnosis issues; and |
WHEREAS, MIMI PAGE-BROUGHTON attended Hillsdale, Burlingame and San Mateo High Schools, graduating from San Mateo High; and |
WHEREAS, MIMI PAGE-BROUGHTON was a young mother who raised her daughter on her own while putting herself through college, becoming the first member of her family to complete an Associates Degree and a Bachelors Degree; and |

WHEREAS, MIMI PAGE-BROUGHTON is now working on a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Notre Dame de Namur University, |
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereby extends its congratulations and commends MIMI PAGE-BROUGHTON for being selected as the Women In County Government’s 2010 Self-Development Award winner. |
