RECOMMENDATION:
|
Approve the appointments of Ramin Keyvan, Debra Conliffe and Wing Yu to the Workforce Investment Board (WIB), each to a term expiring June 30, 2012.
|

BACKGROUND:
|
The mission of the Workforce Investment Board of San Mateo County is to establish and oversee the implementation of policies which promotes an integrated and innovative workforce development system. The WIB Board of Directors approved the applications for Ramin Keyvan, Debra Conliffe and Wing Yu at the November 18, 2010 WIB meeting.

DISCUSSION:
|
Ramin Keyvan is the President and CEO of Rhino Network Solutions. Mr. Keyvan will join the WIB as a representative of the private sector.
|
|
|
Debra Conliffe is the Director of Customer Relations at Manpower Inc. Ms. Conliffe will join the WIB as a representative of the private sector. Ms. Conliffe will replace Mr. Juan Montalvo.

|
Wing Yu is the CEO of Financial Content Services Inc. Mr. Yu will join the WIB as a representative of the private sector.
