RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH EL CENTRO DE LIBERTAD FOR ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUG SERVICES INCREASING THE MAXIMUM OBLIGATION BY $40,000, FOR A NEW MAXIMUM OF $4,996,562, WITH NO CHANGE TO THE TERM OF JULY 1, 2009 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2011.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on June 16, 2009, this Board of Supervisors approved an Agreement

with El Centro de Libertad for the provision of alcohol and drug services for the term of July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2011, for a maximum obligation of $4,949,818; and

WHEREAS, in September 2010 this Board of Supervisors approved a First

Amendment whereby the fixed maximum obligation was decreased by $17,456 to a new maximum of $1,249,434; the aggregate maximum obligation was increased by $24,200 to a new maximum of $3,707,128, for a new combined maximum obligation of $4,956,562, with no change to the Agreement term; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance a Second Amendment to the Agreement, to increase the maximum obligation by $40,000 to a new maximum of $4,996,562 with no change to the Agreement term; and

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors has been presented with a form of the Second Amendment and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into this Amended Agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Second Amendment for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
