RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING

JOHN A. CONOVER

UPON HIS RETIREMENT FROM BOREL PRIVATE BANK & TRUST COMPANY

WHEREAS, JOHN A. CONOVER joined Borel Private Bank & Trust Company in 2003 as President and Chief Operations Officer, bringing over thirty years of banking experience and enthusiasm for hands-on customer service and community involvement to the bank’s clients and San Mateo; and

 

WHEREAS, MR. CONOVER assumed the duties of President and Chief Executive Officer at Borel Private Bank on March 1, 2004, has been admired in the business and banking community for years and was awarded “One of the Most Admired CEO’s” from the San Francisco Business Journal in 2008; and

 

WHEREAS, MR. CONOVER has not only been a leader in the banking industry but also in the community – formerly as Chairman of Junior Achievement of the Bay Area, San Francisco Chair for March of Dimes WalkAmerica, and Board Member of Silicon Valley Leadership Group; and currently as a Board Member of the San Mateo Area Chamber of Commerce, the Housing Endowment and Regional Trust (HEART) of San Mateo County, Junior Achievement of the Bay Area, Community School of Music and Art, and Les Concierges, Inc.; and

 

WHEREAS, MR. CONOVER has received numerous honors for his leadership and contributions to the community, including the National Philanthropy Award in San Francisco in 1999, the Frances Bohannan Nelson Legacy Award from the San Mateo Area Chamber of Commerce in 2010 and the David D. Bohannan Memorial Award from the San Mateo County Economic Development Association (SAMCEDA) in 2010;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereby honors and commends JOHN A. CONOVER for his leadership at Borel Private Bank & Trust Company and service to the community. On behalf of all citizens, the Board expresses sincere appreciation for MR. CONOVER’S numerous contributions and wishes sincere congratulations upon his retirement.
