RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING

BATTALION CHIEF JOSEPH E. TELLES

FOR TWENTY-FIVE YEARS OF SERVICE TO

THE SAN BRUNO COMMUNITY

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

WHEREAS, BATTALION CHIEF JOSEPH E. TELLES is retiring from the San Bruno Fire Department after 25 years of service in San Bruno; and

   

WHEREAS, BATTALION CHIEF JOSEPH E. TELLES was hired by the City of San Bruno as a firefighter on September 8, 1985, was promoted to Fire Captain in July 2002, was promoted to Battalion Chief in April 2004 and retired November 2010; and

   

WHEREAS, BATTALION CHIEF JOSEPH E. TELLES was an outstanding firefighter, consistently demonstrating excellent leadership and organizational skills, and in his over 30 years in the fire service exemplified the attributes of a true professional, and was a member of several county fire organizations, including the Operations and Communications/Technology Committees.

   

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, on January 15, 2011, hereby commends and honors BATTALION CHIEF JOSEPH E. TELLES for his 25 years of dedicated and professional service in the San Bruno Fire Department, and wishes BATTALION CHIEF JOSEPH E. TELLES a healthy and happy retirement.
