RECOMMENDATION:

Approve the nomination by the Treasurer for the appointment of Denise Porterfield to the San Mateo County Treasury Oversight Committee.

BACKGROUND:
|
Denise Porterfield was recently named Deputy Superintendent, Fiscal and Operational Services Division, for the San Mateo County Office of Education. Ms. Anne Campbell, County Superintendent of Schools, has appointed Ms. Porterfield to replace Margie Gustafson on the San Mateo County Treasury Oversight Committee; therefore, the Treasurer nominates Ms. Porterfield subject to the Board of Supervisor’s confirmation in accordance with the County Investment Policy.

DISCUSSION:
|
Approval of this nomination will contribute to the Shared Vision 2025 outcome of a Collaborative Community as our leaders forge partnerships, promote regional solutions with informed and engaged residents, and approach issues with fiscal accountability and concern for future impacts.
