    COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

    RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING

    AMY BUCKMASTER

    ***************************************

    WHEREAS, AMY BUCKMASTER has been named the Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce’s 2010 Person of the Year; and

 

    WHEREAS, the Chamber’s highest Award was created in 1970 to recognize those who, more than anyone else, have made the greatest impact on the success of a Chairman’s year; and

 

    WHEREAS, AMY BUCKMASTER is highly respected in the Chamber and in the community where she serves as the Vice President of Marketing and Programs for the Redwood City-San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce; and

 

    WHEREAS, AMY BUCKMASTER does a masterful job of promoting, marketing and coordinating all segments of the Chamber’s Program of Work – the Kainos Benefit Golf Tournament, the annual Progress Seminar, the Good Morning Redwood City, the Membership Mixers, the Invitational Golf Tournament and the March Madness Membership Drive; and

 

    WHEREAS, AMY BUCKMASTER took the initiative to bring the Chamber of Commerce into a new era with the development of a new and improved website, and creating a presence on Facebook and LinkedIn, and she continues to improve communications throughout the Chamber and its members; and

 

    WHEREAS, AMY BUCKMASTER brings her enthusiasm, commitment and her intelligence to the Chamber on a daily basis and continues to help hundreds of members and volunteers, including its Chairman of the Board, in order to support the Chamber and community;

 

    NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereby honors and commends AMY BUCKMASTER upon being named the 2010 Person of the Year. On behalf of all citizens, the Board expresses its appreciation for AMY BUCKMASTER ‘s numerous contributions to the community.
