RESOLUTION 1) AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH PMC FOR THE PREPARATION OF SAN MATEO COUNTY’S ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND CLIMATE CHANGE UPDATE TO THE GENERAL PLAN, CLIMATE ACTION PLAN, AND IMPLEMENTATION (THE “PROJECT”), IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $300,000 FOR THE TERM FEBRUARY 8, 2011 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2012; 2) AUTHORIZING THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR OR THE DIRECTOR’S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY’S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE) AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS; AND 3) DEFINING SAID PROJECT AS INCLUDING AND LIMITED TO THE SCOPE OF WORK INCLUDED AS EXHIBIT D TO SAID AGREEMENT

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby PMC will prepare San Mateo County’s Energy Efficiency and Climate Change Update to the General Plan, Climate Action Plan, and Implementation of said Plans; and

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to enter into an Agreement for the preparation of San Mateo County’s Energy Efficiency and Climate Change Update to the General Plan, Climate Action Plan, and Implementation, for the period of February 8, 2011 to December 31, 2012, in a total amount not to exceed $300,000; and

WHEREAS, this Board has examined and approved the Agreement as to both form and content and desires to enter into same.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Community Development Director or the Director’s designee is authorized to execute contract amendments which modify the County’s maximum fiscal obligation by no more that $25,000 (in aggregate) and/or modify the contract terms and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Community Development Director or the Director’s designee is authorized to proceed with the Project as defined in and limited to the scope of work included as Exhibit D to said Agreement with PMC.
