RECOMMENDATION:

Approve the re-appointment of Sherrill Swan to the San Mateo County Arts Commission representing District 3 to a term expiring December 31, 2014.

BACKGROUND:
|
Sherrill Swan has represented District 3 on the San Mateo County Arts Commission since 2002. Ms. Swan has been a valuable member of the Commission and has performed her duties in a very capable manner. Ms. Swan’s term expired on December 31, 2010 and she is eligible for re-appointment.

DISCUSSION:
|
The Arts Commission is a collaborative effort to promote the vibrant arts community of San Mateo County. Maintaining strong connections among the five Districts is accomplished through appointments representing each of the county’s areas.
