BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION 1) APPROVING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR AND ACCEPTANCE OF A CALIFORNIA STATE COASTAL CONSERVANCY GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $250,000 FOR THE CRYSTAL SPRINGS REGIONAL TRAIL SOUTH OF DAM PROJECT; AND 2) AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE IN THE NAME OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO ALL NECESSARY APPLICATIONS, CONTRACTS, AGREEMENTS, AMENDMENTS, PAYMENT REQUESTS HERETO FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPLEMENTING THE PURPOSES SPECIFIED IN THE GRANT APPLICATION AND MAKING NECESSARY GRANT ASSURANCES

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo wants to construct the Crystal Springs Regional Trail South of Dam Project; and

 

WHEREAS, the California State Coastal Conservancy will consider grant approval for construction costs for the Crystal Springs Regional Trail South of Dam Trail at their July 21, 2011 Board meeting; and

 

WHEREAS, said procedures established by the California State Coastal Conservancy require a grantee to certify by resolution the acceptance of such grant agreement and its terms before submission of said agreement to the State; and

 

WHEREAS, the County will apply with the assurances contained in the grant agreement.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors by adoption of this Resolution, hereby approves the filing of an application for and acceptance of a California State Coastal Conservancy grant in the amount of $250,000 for construction costs for the Crystal Springs Regional Trail South of Dam Project; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works or his designee is authorized to execute in the name of the County of San Mateo all necessary applications, contracts, agreements, amendments, and payment requests hereto for the purpose of implementing the purposes specified in the grant application and making necessary grant assurances.
