BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION: 1) AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH PYRAMID ALTERNATIVES TO PROVIDE SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT SERVICES TO CLIENTS IN THE BRIDGES PROGRAM, EXTENDING THE TERM THROUGH JUNE 30, 2011 AND INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $58,150 TO THE NEW AMOUNT OF $287,363; AND 2) AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF PROBATION OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS THAT MODIFY THE COUNTY’S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, it is essential to extend the contract with Pyramid Alternatives to provide intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment services to adults in the Bridges Program to prevent clients from reoffending; and

 

WHEREAS, the Probation Department wishes to extend the Agreement an additional six months for the new term of July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2011 for the provision of these services and the new amount of the contract being $287,363; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of this amendment and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

1) The President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said amendment for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto; and

2) The Chief of Probation or his designee is hereby authorized to execute contract amendments that modify the County’s maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
