RECOMMENDATION:

Appoint Christy Usher to the Design Review Committee for the Coastside, for a term to expire March 31, 2014. Also appoint JoLynn Chow Miller as the Alternate to the Design Review Committee for the Coastside, for a term to expire March 31, 2014.

BACKGROUND:
|
The Design Review Committee for the Coastside is an important element of land-use planning on the San Mateo County Coastside.
|

DISCUSSION:
|
Christy Usher is a Montara resident. She has an extensive background in Urban Planning and is currently an Associate Planner for the City of San Mateo. She will bring a professional and personal insight to the Design Review Committee – Coastside that will be helpful in maintaining the community atmosphere of the Coastside. JoLynn Chow Miller is also a Montara resident with an interest in becoming involved in civic activity. She is a businesswoman involved in commercial real estate fund management and has personal experience with the Design Review Committee in successfully completing her own home in Montara.
