Appointments to the Mental Health Board and Substance Abuse Recovery Commission

RECOMMENDATION:
|
Appoint Rodney Clark and Maureen Sinnott to the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Recovery Commission. Mr. Clark’s term will expire on September 30, 2011. Ms. Sinnott’s term will expire on September 30, 2013.

BACKGROUND:
|
The mission of the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Recovery Commission is to provide oversight of mandated mental health programs and substance abuse services, promoting wellness and recovery, consumer/client advocacy, community education and stigma reduction.
|
|
|
DISCUSSION:
|
Rodney Clark is the president and co-founder of the ADAPT Foundation. Mr. Clark will fill the vacant Substance Abuse family seat.
|
|
|
Maureen Sinnott is a clinical psychologist. Ms. Sinnott will replace Amy Mah and fill the public seat.
