RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING

JOHN GIUSTI

2011 SAN MATEO COUNTY FARMER OF THE YEAR

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

WHEREAS, JOHN GIUSTI was born in San Mateo to Aldo and Rose Giusti; and

WHEREAS, JOHN GIUSTI was raised in Half Moon Bay and attended Half Moon Bay schools, graduating from Half Moon Bay High School; and

WHEREAS, JOHN GIUSTI attended College of San Mateo, transferring to the University of San Francisco, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Business; and

WHEREAS, JOHN GIUSTI started farming in his youth with his father Aldo; and

WHEREAS, JOHN GIUSTI met his future wife Maureen in 1989, and they were married in 1994 and have three children, Jacob, Luca and Isabella; and

WHEREAS, JOHN GIUSTI is a member of the San Mateo County Farm Bureau and was President of the Farm Supply working on transitioning its closure; and

WHEREAS, JOHN GIUSTI was active with the Future Farmers Association, and is a basketball coach for the CYO,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County does hereby recognize and congratulate JOHN GIUSTI who has always exhibited a true commitment to his family, work, community and friends..
