RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 1) THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE COASTSIDE ADULT DAY HEALTH CENTER WHICH ALLOWS THE HEALTH CENTER TO CONDUCT THE PACIFIC COAST DREAM MACHINES EVENT AT THE HALF MOON BAY AIRPORT ON SUNDAY, MAY 1, 2011; AND 2) A WAIVER OF THE 12,500-POUND WEIGHT RESTRICTION AT THE HALF MOON BAY AIRPORT FOR THE SPECIFIED DISPLAY AIRCRAFT AS SET FORTH IN THE AGREEMENT

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 25536 allows a county, by four-fifths (4/5ths) vote of its Board of Supervisors, to enter into agreements to permit activities on land held by the county for airport purposes; and

WHEREAS, the Coastside Adult Day Health Center (Health Center) has requested the use of the Half Moon Bay Airport's taxiway and other public facilities, services and conveniences for their vehicle and equipment show called the Pacific Coast Dream Machines Event (Event); and

WHEREAS, a waiver of the 12,500-pound weight restriction at the Half Moon Bay Airport for the specified display aircraft has been recommended; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board for its consideration and acceptance, an agreement between the County of San Mateo and the Health Center, which allows the Health Center to conduct the Event on Sunday, May 1, 2011; and

WHEREAS, the agreement provides that the Health Center will pay the Airport Fund an amount of $4,000 for use of the facility and to pay the cost of additional personnel that will be on duty during the Event; and

WHEREAS, this Board has reviewed and considered said agreement.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

The President of this Board be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo with the Coastside Adult Day Health Center which allows the Health Center to conduct the Pacific Coast Dream Machines Event at the Half Moon Bay Airport on Sunday, May 1, 2011, and the signature of the Clerk of this Board shall attest thereto; and

The Board authorize a waiver of the 12,500-pound weight restriction at the Half Moon Bay Airport for the specified display aircraft as set forth in the Agreement whose execution is authorized by this Resolution.
