RECOMMENDATION:
|
Approve the appointment of Louie Figone to the Agricultural Advisory Committee as the Farmer/Grower representative for a term expiring June 30, 2014.
|

|
BACKGROUND:
|
Louie Figone is a Half Moon Bay resident who has extensive experience as the owner/operator of a cut flower growing business. He also served on the San Mateo County Resource Conservation District Board for 23 years, and was President four of those years. He is currently serving as a board member and is a past president of the San Mateo County Farm Bureau. Louie Figone is an excellent choice for the Agricultural Advisory Committee.

DISCUSSION:
|
The Agricultural Advisory Committee assists the Board of Supervisors in understanding and acting upon county agricultural issues.
