RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS WITH THREE “ON-CALL” STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING FIRMS: (1) CREEGAN + D’ANGELO ENGINEERS, (2) CROSBY GROUP AND (3) KPW STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS, INC.TO PROVIDE STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2011 TO JUNE 30, 2014, FOR A MAXIMUM AGGREGATE AMOUNT OF $900,000 ($300,000 PER AGREEMENT).

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that
|
|
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo is authorized to engage the services of professional technical experts; and
|
|
WHEREAS, the public interest and general welfare will be served by selecting and using qualified engineers for various professional consulting services; and
|
|
WHEREAS, the engineering firms Creegan + D’Angelo Engineers, Crosby Group, and KPW Structural Engineers, Inc. are engineering firms qualified to provide professional consulting services on a variety of projects; and
|
|
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that an agreement be entered into with the three firms of Creegan + D’Angelo Engineers, Crosby Group, and KPW Structural Engineers, Inc. to provide professional structural engineering consulting services as may be needed and under the direction of the Director of Public Works; and
|
|
WHEREAS, this Board has considered and concurs with the recommendation of the Director of Public Works; and
|
|
WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of said Agreements and has examined and approved same as to both form and content, and desires to enter into same:
|
|
NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby determined and ordered that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said five Agreements on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
