BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

ADOPT A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE HILLER AVIATION MUSEUM WHICH ALLOWS HILLER TO CONDUCT A SPECIAL REVENUE GENERATING DINNER EVENT ON FRIDAY, JUNE 17, 2011, AND A PUBLIC DISPLAY OF MILITARY AND CIVILIAN AIRCRAFT ON SATURDAY, JUNE 18, 2011, AND SUNDAY, JUNE 19, 2011, AT THE SAN CARLOS AIRPORT

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 25536 allows a county, by four-fifths (4/5ths) vote of its Board of Supervisors, to enter into agreements to permit activities on land held by the county for airport purposes; and

WHEREAS, the Hiller Aviation Museum (Hiller) has requested the use of the San Carlos Airport's, runway, taxiways, parking aprons and other public facilities, services and conveniences for a special revenue generating event called the HeliFest (Event); and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board for its consideration and acceptance, an agreement between the County of San Mateo and Hiller, which allows Hiller to conduct a dinner event on Friday, June 17, 2011, and a public display of military and civilian aircraft on Saturday, June 18, 2011, and Sunday, June 19, 2011, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars (the “Agreement”); and

WHEREAS, the Agreement provides that Hiller reimburse the Airport Fund for Airport staffing and overtime costs associated with the coordination and administration of the Event; and

WHEREAS, this Board has reviewed and considered said agreement.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo with the Hiller Aviation Museum which allows Hiller to conduct a special revenue generating dinner event on Friday, June 17, 2011, and a public display of military and civilian aircraft on Saturday, June 18, 2011, and Sunday, June 19, 2011, at the San Carlos Airport, and the signature of the Clerk of this Board shall attest thereto.
