RECOMMENDATION:
|
Approve the appointment of Lisa D. Beilke to the Emergency Medical Care Committee representing consumers for a four-year term expiring March 31, 2015.
|

|
BACKGROUND:
|
Lisa D. Beilke is a research scientist with Gilead Sciences who lives in Foster City. Her relevant experience includes five years as a medical search and rescue Reserve Deputy with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. She also has advanced medical education that will enhance her knowledge and interest in emergency medical services. Lisa Beilke will be an excellent addition to the EMC Committee.

DISCUSSION:
|
The Emergency Medical Care Committee evaluates the county’s emergency medical care operations and advises the Board of Supervisors on the topic. The Committee ensures there is an efficient emergency medical response system.
