RESOLUTION INCREASING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN
RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that
WHEREAS, this Board has previously created the Commission on the Status of Women, whose purpose is to provide leadership to develop policies, programs and legislation that address the needs of women, girls and families, and
WHEREAS, in June of 2002, this Board adopted Resolution 65339 which set the number of members of the Commission as seventeen (17) members fifteen (15) of which are adults and two (2) of which are youth members; and
WHEREAS, this Board has now determined that the membership should be increased to 19 adult members and 2 youth members;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that: the Commission on the Status of Women should be composed of nineteen (19) members, seventeen (17) of which are adults and two (2) of which are youths and that all other provisions of Resolution 65339 shall remain in full force and effect.
