*RESOLUTION*

THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
*RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING*

*RANDY SAHAE* *Upon the end of her term as President of the Millbrae Lions Club*
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
	*WHEREAS, during her term in office, RANDY SAHAE, very effectively epitomized the Lions Club motto, “WE SERVE;” and*

	WHEREAS, RANDY SAHAE participated in the majority of the Millbrae Lions Club’s activities and projects, and has made the club’s work visible to the surrounding communities through her position as the manager and producer of the Millbrae Cable Television Agency; and

	WHEREAS, early in the year, RANDY SAHAE was responsible for mobilizing the Millbrae Lions Club in responding to the September fire disaster in San Bruno by directing club members to feed thousands of victims and volunteers by utilizing the club’s newly prepared mobile kitchen, after a gas line explosion damaged homes, injuring and killing residents and safety workers, and leaving people homeless; and

	WHEREAS, RANDY SAHAE was able to oversee and facilitate the long-sought collaboration of community volunteers, the Millbrae Elementary School District, the City of Millbrae, and a national organization, Rebuilding America, to rebuild the former Lions Club Scout House, in order to create the Millbrae Community Youth Center – a much needed facility for Millbrae’s young residents; and

	WHEREAS, during the past year, RANDY SAHAE has been responsible for reorganizing the Millbrae Lions Club’s large youth group, the Leos; thus, permitting them to continue their good works for others in the city of Millbrae,

	NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereby commends RANDY SAHAE for her leadership, dedication and commitment of service to the community as President of the Millbrae Lions Club and wishes her continued success.
