RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING

LUCILE PACKARD CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL AT STANFORD

UPON ITS 20TH ANNIVERSARY

WHEREAS, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital opened its doors on June 10, 1991 following a generous $40 million donation from David and Lucile Packard; and

 

WHEREAS, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital has become a national leader in pediatric and obstetric care, providing for women and children not only locally, but drawing patients from across the world; and

WHEREAS, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital provides top-rated clinical care, employs an innovative hospital design that incorporates labor and delivery and neonatal research and care, and provides comprehensive treatment and care for both mothers and newborns; and

WHEREAS, on June 26, 2011, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital will celebrate the 20th anniversary in the community with festivities that are open to the public;

 

WHEREAS, in 2010, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital served 15,359 San Mateo County residents at the hospital and in outpatient clinics and it is a valuable asset in San Mateo County;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereby honors LUCILE PACKARD CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL AT STANFORD upon the 20th Anniversary. The Board of Supervisors hereby extends its thanks to Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital for its years of providing excellent service to the community.
