RECOMMENDATION:
|
Approve the reappointment of Chris Ranken to the San Mateo County Planning Commission for a term ending December 31, 2014.
|

|
BACKGROUND:
|
Chris Ranken is a Pacifica resident who was previously appointed to the Planning Commission by former Supervisor Rich Gordon. He has continued to perform his duties in a thoughtful, considered manner and would like to continue as Supervisor Don Horsley’s representative. A former long-term Pacifica Planning Commissioner, Chris Ranken has extensive land-use experience as well as construction expertise.

DISCUSSION:
|
The Planning Commission is an important element of county government and each respective commissioner represents the five different districts and supervisors. Chris Ranken will continue to effectively serve the Third District if he is reappointed to the Commission.
