RECOMMENDATION:
|
Appoint Nadia Bledsoe to the Workforce Investment Board (WIB) for a two-year term expiring June 30, 2013.
|

|
BACKGROUND:
|
The mission of the Workforce Investment Board of San Mateo County is to establish and oversee the implementation of policies that promote an integrated and innovative workforce development system. The WIB Board of Directors approved the appointment of Ms. Bledsoe at its July 21, 2011 meeting.

|
DISCUSSION:
|
Nadia Bledsoe is a business agent for AFSCME Council 57 and will represent a labor organization seat. She is replacing Levin Sy, who vacated the seat late last year.
