RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING

CHRISTY MORRILL

Upon retirement from the County of San Mateo

WHEREAS, CHRISTY MORRILL joined San Mateo County in 1982 as a Utility Worker in Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and has since worked in five different departments, including Health, Personnel/Human Resources, General Services, Human Services and Probation over the course of his 29 years with the County; and

 

WHEREAS, CHRISTY MORRILL joined Probation in 1996 as a Management Analyst and progressed through the ranks of Fiscal Services Manager I, Administrative Services Manager I, and now Deputy Director of Administration; and

 

WHEREAS, CHRISTY MORRILL has contributed tremendously to the County through his various achievements, including opening and facilitating the recruitment of the first female in a “non-traditional” role, helping coordinate a compaction study of management that led to salary structure modifications, and working to ensure staff remained employed by the County during budget cuts and layoffs; and

WHEREAS, CHRISTY MORRILL has contributed to the County of San Mateo and the Probation Department through tireless support of his staff, a strong sense of collaboration with community and county partners, and his commitment to providing a high level of service;

 

WHEREAS, CHRISTY MORRILL looks forward to a well-deserved retirement, enjoying a variety of outdoor adventures, supporting the San Francisco Giants, spending time with his family and friends, and beginning a new journey of personal development and growth, whether through work or hobbies;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereby commends CHRISTY MORRILL for 29 years of service to the County of San Mateo and wishes sincere congratulations upon his retirement.
