SAN MATEO COUNTY HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION

WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Historical Association operates the San Mateo County History Museum within San Mateo County’s old courthouse; and

WHEREAS, the Historical Association has for eight years organized a county-wide event called the San Mateo County History Makers, which has recognized individuals who have made important contributions to the lives of people within and outside of San Mateo County; and

WHEREAS, this year the event will be held within the old courthouse and on the Courthouse Square for the first time; and

WHEREAS, this year’s honorees for History Makers will be past district attorneys, Keith Sorenson and Jim Fox, who were employees of the County of San Mateo; and

WHEREAS, these two individuals are being recognized for their professional accomplishments, which include substantial good and significant works for our local citizens;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereby recognizes the SAN MATEO COUNTY HISTORY ASSOCIATION and honors the historical and beneficial importance of the careers of Keith Sorenson and Jim Fox to the people of San Mateo County and beyond.
