May Is Mental Health Awareness Month
This month, cultivate calm and resiliency. Take a walk outside, call a friend, play with animals, give yourself quiet time, or allow yourself to receive support from any one of the free concierge and counseling services from Concern:EAP. Developing resiliency can also build self-confidence when facing stressful situations.
Thank you to all the Wellness Champions and Department Heads who supported physical and mental well-being through Department Kick-Off Walks around the County last month!

Employee Success Story
Health Is...
Happiness: Aging and Adult Services Director Lisa Mancini
on Supporting a Culture of Health at the County
Just last year, employees across more than 20 AAS units and programs began working together to integrate wellness events and practices from smoothie socials and obstacle courses to regular movement breaks and department walks.
"The mentality needs to happen from the top down," says Lisa Mancini, Director of Aging and Adult Services. "All I’ve done is supported the Wellness committee by saying ‘yes’ to several of their requests. And if there are barriers, I encourage staff to let me know so I can help them."
