Employee Success Story
Stretching for
Awareness, Peace, and Calm
Linda Gonzalez was one of many people who went to yoga classes offered at various gyms and studios. But overtime, they felt too crowded, impersonal, and aerobic, which she didn’t care for.
“I was looking for something more authentic,” says Linda, Court Staff Attorney, Family Law facilitator’s Office.
“I like the personal attention that Don Weiher gives us in his onsite classes here at the County. They’re small, so he’s thoughtful of every person’s needs, injuries, and tight muscles. He also gives extra attention to those who are new so that they can feel comfortable easing into yoga in a way that works for them.”

Healthy Tips: Mid-Year Financial Check-Up for Goals
A worthwhile tradition that will help you feel more relaxed this summer
It's not a day at the beach, but giving yourself this season to review your taxes, retirement, saving, and spending will be a worthwhile investment.
A few of the main issues from Concern: EAP's LifeAdvisor resource:
Taxes: Based upon your tax situation in April, the summer is a helpful time to reassess what you'll owe at tax time next year.
Retirement savings: Check your existing IRAs and other accounts to see if you can deposit the maximum by the end of the year.
Health and health insurance: Increasingly, what we pay for health insurance will be tied to the state of our health. Keep premiums lower by
Check your spending: A look at the last six months of spending may reveal opportunities to reduce spending and redirect money toward more necessary goals.
Reserve fund: Most financial experts encourage you to have between three to six months of living expenses in an emergency fund.
College savings: Check to see if you're on track with the savings goals you made for the year, and better yet, take some time to read the latest news on financial aid.
Reset special goals: Focus on the cash you'll set aside to make that vacation or special purchase happen.
The review process: Make it a lifelong thing. And don't forget that you can get help - bring a financial adviser into the process if necessary.
