We’ll also highlight pre-diabetes and metabolic syndrome so you know how interrelated they can be. Feel free to bring your latest lab results because we’ll spend some time getting up to speed on the lab tests used to diagnose diabetes including fasting glucose and the A1C.

We will be discussing the time commitment and gear needed to training and run a marathon as well as the resources, training plans and strategies for a good race. If you like to ski, snowboard, run, walk, do team sports or just need an indoor routine when it's wet or cold outside, this is the workshop for you! You will be given handouts with all exercises that are demonstrated and practiced in class.

Summer Meltdown Team Weight-Loss Challenge
This 13-week weight loss challenge is an annual opportunity for County employees to focus on lifestyle weight management in a fun, competitive and supportive environment. Form a team of 4-6 employees and encourage one another to eat healthier, move more and lose weight. At the end of the Challenge, we’ll recognize all teams that meet their weight loss goal. Special recognition and rewards are given to the top 3 teams that have the greatest % weight loss.
