Babies & You Prenatal Health Promotion Program~January, June, September 2011

Take this course if you are currently expecting, planning a pregnancy or adoption.

Session 1 ~ What to Expect During Pregnancy: Fetal Growth & Development, Healthy Lifestyle Choices, Parenting Issues and an Overview of Labor & Delivery

Session 2 ~ What to Expect After the Baby Comes Home: Postpartum & Infant Care Basics, Home & Car Safety, Breastfeeding Basics and a Review of County Benefits and Programs for Moms & Dads

Participants who attend both sessions receive the book by the American Academy of Pediatrics, Caring for Your Baby and Young. Morning snacks are provided at both sessions. The chairs can be uncomfortable. Bring a cushion, pillow or other soft item to sit on. At the end of the course, you will be asked to make a commitment to improve your health by making some changes in your health habits

Except where indicated, all Employee Health & Fitness programs, services and activities are conducted on County time with your supervisor's approval. Programs are available to retirees, family members and extra help employees on a space available basis at program cost.
